I saw this flick in the movie theatre, and when it opened with this sequence they didn't spare on the volume, and the whole room was just vibrating with this version of Led Zeppelins Immigrant Song - and it felt like a battery.

Anyone remember this song?
I do, but I hadn't reflected so much over the bass-line. But when I heard her (Maria Altesa) playing it I remember that bass-line is about 75% of the song, and the vocals the rest.
Back then this song was just ONE of the hundreds brilliant songs poured forth in the 80's, and we were sooo jaded with exceptional songs & artists that we didn't even had the time to stop and listen to them individually, before tyhe next one was out. It was like a cascade of hits pouring over us, and some songs just "withered away" - like this one.
When I listen to the vocals and the bassline I realise what a touching song it is - with Paul Young soul voice to it.

Nevahthaless, it's groovy.... The things isnt the bassline, it is about the thightness, and instant-groove.
