I've long felt this song could arguably [be] about the afterlife, and that while we might mourn the dead they've gone to the place "where everything's better, and everything's safe".
I even recall after my father passed away that I wish there was some sign from him and I heard this song playing in the mall. Obviously this isn't some clear sign of Survival but I appreciated it nonetheless.

At the time when this was released, I got much of my musical inspiration by listening to foreign-language radio, I heard a track from this album on a Dutch radio station, I'd no idea what the presenters were saying, but bought various LPs after I heard them on that station. Another one notably being 'Horses' by the Patti Smith Group.
