In a couple of other posts (here and here) I've incidentally remarked on similarities between songs and/or riffs; here's a more proactive remark. Does anybody else notice a similarity (though they're definitely not identical) between the main guitar riffs in Dolly Parton's Jolene and Powderfinger's Jc?
Some very old almost forgotten music, but still mesmerizing in its energy, joy and beauty. It's good to bring some of that back.

Vivaldi: Concerto for 3 violins in F major, RV 551   -   Zubin Mehta, Israel Philharmonic

Pizzica  - recently I've been captivated by the rhythm of this music and dance. I'm not qualified to talk on the history but the dance is said to have roots thousands of years old.

Stornelli Scordati - Pizzica di San Vito

Notte della Taranta - Pizzica di San Vito – Elodie

Edit
I might have known that I'd already posted on almost an identical topic, the ancient tarantella here
