Yes for a snowflake, it would be...if that's how you prefer to portray yourself.

Apologies for being drawn into an off-topic argument.
This is just my subjective take on what has happened here. From an outsider's perspective, Tim used less-than-ideal words to address malf but apparently this is something understood between them and done through humour. The ad homs/insults that followed occurred over this misunderstanding and are happening in the context of a "fight".
Maybe let's just take a moment to cool down? We want to have respect as a guiding principle, but also balance that with people being who they are and we don't intend as moderators to pounce on every potential "infraction". Tim and Chris, you're both very valued, heavily contributing members and we're such a small group, all of us on this forum, trying to stay afloat as a marginal little psi community. It's understandable and inevitable that fights will occur and our intention was never to overpolice heated words spoken in such contexts. Again, my suggestion is maybe just take a moment to breathe now and step back. If anyone is not OK with what I've said here, you're very welcome to let me and the other mods know, maybe preferable through a PM exchange so as not to further disrupt the thread. Okay, Ian but Malf's post to which I responded was mischievous...and that's okay. He was having a little dig at me which is perfectly fine and he is more than capable of looking after himself. That's why, I consider it over the top for other members to come wading into a conversation that was nothing to do with them, claiming offence and righteous indignation on Malf's behalf. Was it in another thread? Anyway, no problem. |
