This woman claims to have had a near death experience, which some experts would.. and have.. previously categorised as a "fear death experience" (but maybe that is debateable). She was travelling at high speed on a motorway, when a large vehicle (a motor-home) failed to give way to her (she reported).
A collision appeared to be inevitable and this is when she 'left her body' and entered into another "place" whilst remaining
connected to the ongoing situation. I've come across quite a number of this type of experience in the past four/five decades. The Fenwicks reported an excellent example of one, in the Truth in the light; namely a woman driver who went aquaplaning in the outside lane of the motorway (in England) and experienced many (not all by any means) of the same things.
The interview has been dubbed over with English by someone really proficient and it's well worth a listen just for this woman's various insights.

This is an interesting NDE (from Brazil--the Carlos Mendes channel) which occurred under anaesthesia during surgery to remove a piece of iron or metal which was somehow impacted into the patient's skull (I don't remember if he said that someone had clobbered him or whatever it was that happened)
He simply finds himself walking through a sort of copse (? ) or tree lined glade (?) accompanied by a person in white. Red and white birds notice him and react to his presence. What I find interesting is that we get a really detailed description of the mechanics of what it's like to experience this and his perception, description and interpretation of what he
actually was there (in what form (less) he was in etc).
A being, invisible to himself (he couldn't see his arms and legs etc) yet still tangible and identical in every way with himself..it was him there (he said) but not the him that his name defined on earth, shall we say. If anyone has half an hour, have a listen (read the subtitles), it's well worth it and it's interesting that it agrees very well with many similar NDE's I've come across.

What do you make (everyone) of this ? Personally, I always assume it's something else with an ordinary explanation (other than what she believes it is) but it's interesting that the light phenomena seems to occur at the time of his death.

I’m different in that I don’t assume anything. In cases such as these I simply accept not knowing.

In fact I’m as open to the light in the vid being something spiritual as I am to it being something materialists might accept. If we accept that NDEs are ‘real’, why not that the soul leaves the body around death, as a visible light. (To all that were actually there?) I think there’s a fairly decent chance.

"Something" leaves the body, for sure. The "something" that comprises what we feel ourselves to be. I don't have a problem with not being able to see the 'soul' or the 'self' or 'consciousness' or whatever one likes to call it. Neurosurgeons (obviously) can't detect it/see it when they open up the cathedral of the skull and peer in. They observe only grey/white protoplasm and blood vessels, but no one can say that the self or the mind or consciousness is not in there.
I just doubt that our 'souls' are on the electromagnetic spectrum because they seem to have properties way beyond that.

This is my second reply (I deleted an earlier attempt, considering it a bit hasty).
I've tried to consider this in terms of photography and stray light sources. I've not reached any particular conclusion. I'm leaning towards it being something private which only the person(s) there at the time can properly study. There are just too many possibilities - could be something special, or something ordinary.
One thing which did strike me was the colour, a sort of bluish-purple, which is characteristic of some modern LED light sources, such as some car headlights. The colour by itself doesn't mean anything in particular of course.
I leave it open, no conclusion.
