The ongoing mystery of cattle mutilations refuses to go away.

Nobody has ever been charged, nobody has ever been caught. People eventually make mistakes. Like, drinking in a bar, they start boasting about what they’ve been doing. There is somebody (or something) out there that is highly-skilled in surgery using very sharp instruments. They’ve been doing animal mutilations.
Whatever it is never leaves any evidence to indict anybody or anything. Just that whatever it is isn't known predator scavengers like coyotes or cougars or bears or whatever. The facts that over all these years no human being has ever been caught doing it or even just been seen doing it and nobody and no organization have ever boasted about it or even mentioned that they did it, even decades after committing the felony and well past any criminal consequences, would seem to militate against the human origin hypothesis.
Whatever it is seems to have almost supernatural powers - maybe an extremely advanced technology, with capabilities way beyond current human capabilities. That leads to a wide array of other possible culprits, starting (in my mind at least) with extraterrestrial UFO occupants. Such beings if they exist would presumably have at least some motivation to learn a lot about human and animal biology. Faced with difficulties in obtaining a lot of corpses (and even more difficulty in obtaining live humans) they might just choose to use cattle. Many are typically located out in fields a distance away from human habitation, making them relatively easy targets, compared to humans themselves or even pigs (which are considerably closer to human physiology).

Quote:Over the past few years, ranchers in Oregon have been bewildered by the bizarre mutilations of multiple cattle.
More than 10,000 similar incidents have been reported all over the United States dating back at least 50 years. Animals are carved up with surgical precision. And no one has ever been caught.
The most recent outbreak of carved-up cows sent a chill through the ranching communities of the Pacific Northwest.
One unfortunate animal had assorted body parts removed, then was placed in an odd position it could not have assumed on its own.
The animal mutilation mystery first came to prominence in western states half a century ago but there have been cases pretty much everywhere, and cattle are not the only targets.
Different culprits have been blamed including coyotes, cultists, and UFOs.
One case happened within 100 feet of a ranch style home in Las Vegas without anyone noticing anything, and in a manner that baffled veterinarians.
