I had already said something similar (no doubt for different reasons) when I said it was probably time to call it a day. I meant it from a personal perspective but I thought you had a point. So I didn't think it too strongly worded (or, at least, no more so than my own comment). I did spend an hour or two trying searches to find similar forums but I didn't find anything quite like this one. Clearly it serves a purpose for those who continue to post here but it is discussion/debate oriented rather than experience sharing. Perhaps that wasn't the intention, or perhaps there was no model. I too was one of the founders but I just wanted somewhere to express ideas when Skeptiko seems to be veering off in a weird direction. I haven't looked recently but maybe Skeptiko is back on track?
I do not make any clear distinction between mind and God. God is what mind becomes when it has passed beyond the scale of our comprehension.

I think different people are interested in different things. Personally, my main interest is in experimental parapsychology rather than either metaphysical discussion or personal experiences. But I don't see why the forum can't cater for all those tastes and more. I certainly don't have the feeling that the discussion of metaphysics is driving out discussion of other topics. 'Historically, we may regard materialism as a system of dogma set up to combat orthodox dogma...Accordingly we find that, as ancient orthodoxies disintegrate, materialism more and more gives way to scepticism.'
