Ok, I made that post in the heat of the moment, it wasn't quite what I meant to say. I apologise if it was a bit strongly-worded.

There is room here for plenty of different views, and different topics which I don't think are served well anywhere else.

I had already said something similar (no doubt for different reasons) when I said it was probably time to call it a day. I meant it from a personal perspective but I thought you had a point. So I didn't think it too strongly worded (or, at least, no more so than my own comment).

I did spend an hour or two trying searches to find similar forums but I didn't find anything quite like this one. Clearly it serves a purpose for those who continue to post here but it is discussion/debate oriented rather than experience sharing. Perhaps that wasn't the intention, or perhaps there was no model. I too was one of the founders but I just wanted somewhere to express ideas when Skeptiko seems to be veering off in a weird direction. I haven't looked recently but maybe Skeptiko is back on track?

I think different people are interested in different things. Personally, my main interest is in experimental parapsychology rather than either metaphysical discussion or personal experiences. But I don't see why the forum can't cater for all those tastes and more. I certainly don't have the feeling that the discussion of metaphysics is driving out discussion of other topics.
