ParaMOOC 2018 starts next Monday, January 22. It's the fourth in an annual series of webinars or MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) supported by the
Parapsychology Foundation and organized and hosted by parapsychologists
Nancy Zingrone and
Carlos Alvarado of the
AZIRE (Alvarado Zingrone Institute for Research and Education).
Classes consist of live-streamed videos featuring PowerPoint presentations from acknowledged experts in parapsychology, near-death studies and related fields. The course uses the popular
WizIQ Virtual Classroom technology, meaning users can freely chat with one another before, during and after the presentations, and ask the speakers questions during the ample time periods following the presentations. All classes are recorded, so users not present for the classes can download and watch the recordings later.
To take part in this free online course, click the "Enroll Now" button at the top-right of this page:
http://the-azire.wiziq.com//course/20215...ramooc2018
Once enrolled, you'll receive an email reminder from the AZIRE prior to each class, along with an avalanche of additional emails for announcements, course changes and links to the PowerPoint presentations and recorded videos. Years ago I set up an email filter to create a folder for all such emails so they wouldn't flood my inbox. You might consider doing the same, or go into your onsite profile to turn off the emails (providing you're comfortable navigating the site and can access what you need on your own).
Despite the possibility of last minute changes, Carlos and Nancy have the following classes planned (more speakers may be added over the next couple of weeks):
