Or are these people [just] mentally ill frauds? If so it seems there their number would have to include Crowley, Carlos Castaneda, and possibly Whitley Streiber as well.

edit: I'm reminded of Fort's Positive & Negative Absolutes, as well as the issues Braude has had with mediums who committed fraud but managed to pass rigorous testing at other times.

To be clear, my point is not that those telling people to commit suicide or creating cults are somehow correct.

But this same critique can be applied to just about every religion, and I think even if Teal could display macro-PK that wouldn't change the facts otherwise of her fraudulent behavior...
