It also includes claims that "psionics" - psi-talented persons - can communicate with and control UFOs, with video of one such purported psionic doing just that.

The problem to skeptics and those on the fence with this issue is that as usual there is no physical evidence; all the evidence so far is anecdotal. Hard physical evidence would consist of verified crashed UFO wreckage and/or bodies. Until this sort of hard physical evidence is forthcoming it isn't unreasonable that a lot of people have to remain on the fence on the issue.

Of course there could really be black-ops programs attempting to retreive UFO remains, but there is plenty of evidence that if such programs have or presently exist they have been complete failures and have come up with nothing.

To be fair, there's video evidence in that interview itself, although I take your point that that's not at the same level as something that can be touched and felt.

Is there? I guess you mean an absence of evidence that they have come up with something?

What do you think of Steven Greer's claims in this video? He claims that rather than being a complete failure, reverse engineering has been so successful that some human craft are almost indistinguishable from genuine ET craft. I'm not sure what to think, hence sharing with the forum to get opinions.

I was wondering when "someone" might broach the topic of UAP's (the telepathy tapes also has material relevent to this topicas well as DMT and the simulation hypothesis). I held back from opening this pandoras box as it seemed the form was more into science/philosophy as of late.

 I'm find these topics rather daunting as one rabbit hole seems to open up a fractal universe with endless permutations.  

 Greers story overall seems credible but has many inconsistencies with other equally or more credible people. My sense is that these phenomena are real and powerful with many good people trying to disclose true information but that there is much disinformation coming from forces that benefit from keeping consensus reality intact.
