I have been an experiencer of psi phenomena all my life - too wide a range to articulate here. These days things are not as spectacular or disruptive - just a gentle steady state of mild stuff. Mercifully.  I have a neglected blog [aspiringanimist.com] I struggle to get back to. I mention it because it sums up something essential about me. I want to be animistic in my outlook, but I am deeply conditioned by a materialistic culture. I can't call myself an animist. It is what I aspire to be. I am presently fascinated by our notions of truth and reality. I have just spent 12 months delving in the psychology, history, sociology and politics of Trump. I have no political investment. I was just deeply intrigued by the radical disjuncture between the for and agin camps. On a mundane level it spoke to how we frame our personal and culture values and morals. Now I have been moved to engage with the ET/UFO theme. This is something I have been interested in for ages, and something I think I have been connected to since childhood, if any of the abductee reports are indicative. Again the theme of truth and reality is key. I have just finished Strieber's A New World, Clelland's Stories from the Messengers and Zabel & Dolan's AD After Disclosure. Currently with Armstrong's The Lost Art of Scripture. Not sure where to next. I am not interested in discussions about whether psi stuff is real. I am interested in how we integrate that actuality into our psyches and our culture. For me our post materialism discourse about the nature of our reality is evolving through radical and disruptive experiences that do not sit well within the Christian/materialist worldview [and yes, I connect the two]. I professionally I work for a state government department as a senior project officer. My field of expertise is disability, and I acquired my own in 2008 when I contracted GBS. I have degrees in Social Ecology and certificates in management and project management. I also have an interest in the origin and nature of religion. I live in NSW, west of Sydney in the Blue Mountains.
