New evidence for UFO craft reverse engineering?

Quote:"EXCLUSIVE: Six whistleblowers who claim they worked on military UFO programs retrieving and analyzing crash material have come forward to spill their secrets to senior members of congress.
Lawyer Daniel Sheehan said he is in contact with at least six former government officials or military contractors who say they worked on UFO programs.
The whistleblowers claim they worked on Roswell-style UFO crash retrieval and reverse engineering programs and have spoken to members of congress.
The attorney is launching a watchdog charity pushing for greater government transparency on UFOs."

A long article that makes it clear that these claims by a number of apparently credible individuals of having worked on beyond top secret alien craft reverse-engineering programs (which claims have been accumulating for many years) have now passed the "boggle threshold" into credible territory. Mainly thanks to congressional action to give "whistleblowers" protection from prosecution.

There remain several issues that severely detract from these claims, one being the lack so far of any noticeable spillover into the technological economy - of advanced alien technology into the private investment and development sector or into advanced defense sectors. As far as I can tell, everything in these sectors has a long history of human development and evolutionary human invention, not sudden breakthroughs into previously unknown and revolutionary areas challenging the laws of physics (which latter category would be expected for newly adapted alien technology). Judge the tree by its fruits.

Of course, there would always be the perhaps valid excuse that these programs have all been failures, because such hyper-advanced alien technology would likely be incapable of being adapted using present science and technology, just as modern large-scale integrated digital circuit technology and computer system designs would be totally beyond the capability of 19th century scientists and engineers to adopt in any way. It would have required multiple fundamental conceptual and technological breakthroughs for the 19th century technologists to even begin to understand the advanced computer hardware much less adopt it for themselves.

Thank you Paul.  This bit summarizes it:

Yes it's well known that The Daily Mail is what it is. However it's not a rational response to simply dismiss the article on that basis since it seems to be a more in-depth report, it cites people already recognized like lawyer Daniel Sheehan, and it follows up on similar recent information from elsewhere.

Regardless of source, I think the reasoning in the OP is best - where are the results of this reverse engineering?

I've heard this claim before, and it seems to indicate some giant leap in technology was achieved...but to be honest I don't see this in engineering, physics, computer science, medicine, etc...all of these seem to involve the gradual work of humans?

Perhaps it's not strictly rational, but who has time to read article from garbage or semi-garbage sources? I ain't watchin' Fox News either.

It is also not rational to believe every article and youtube video you watch instead of looking for more likely possibilities and, if possible, actual physical evidence.  We have the word of a few people at best.  It's a big big claim - for goodness sake show a little intelligent agnosticism at the very least.
Where have you detected a lack of agnosticism?

Perhaps more importantly, whose goodness?

From Mysterious Universe's write-up on the Daily Mail article:
Paul Seaburn, April 28, 2023

Quote:One whistleblower also involved with Sheehan who is not a member of the group of six but whose name is known to the public is physicist and intelligence official Dr. Eric Davis. At an earlier congressional hearing on UFOs in May 2022, Wisconsin Republican Rep. Mike Gallagher entered into the Congressional record something called the “Wilson-Davis Notes.” This refers to notes from a conversation Dr. Davis allegedly had in 2002 with then-deputy director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Vice Admiral Thomas Wilson. The notes reveal that Wilson told Davis about an occasion in the early 2000s when he discovered the existence of a secret program run by a defense contractor that retrieved and attempted to reverse engineer UFOs. Wilson said he became suspicious after finding discrepancies in budgets that led him to the program run by a well-known U.S. “aerospace technology contractor.” Davis’s notes state that Wilson allegedly met with three officials from the “reverse engineering program” who saw “something recovered years ago… an intact craft they believed could fly” that was technology “not of this Earth.” Despite being deputy director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Vice Admiral Wilson was denied access to any more information on the program and claimed he was told by those higher up in the command chain that his career would be in jeopardy if he tried.

Quote:Sheehan is working to have both Wilson and Davis interviewed by AARO. He is also working with Lue Elizondo, who recently told Popular Mechanics that the government is withholding what it knows about unidentified aircrafts entering restricted U.S. airspace and he wants to “ensure they don’t cause the next Pearl Harbor.”

What should we make of so many whistleblowers coming forward with claims that the U.S. government and military is hiding evidence of extraterrestrial craft crashes and reverse engineering projects? The involvement of attorney Daniel Sheehan definitely gives these claims some legitimacy and will probably help escalate them through the bureaucratic roadblocks and longstanding prejudices against UFO reports and requests for disclosure. Will Sheehan help the whistleblowers succeed … and not lose their jobs or their lives? We may soon find out.

The Popular Mechanics article:
Lue Elizondo Ran the Pentagon’s UFO Unit—and Says the Government Is Withholding What It Knows
David Howard, April 24 2032

Quote:For the first time, the U.S. will use the intelligence community’s multibillion-dollar technical apparatuses, which include spy satellites, weather balloons, and the most powerful radars in the world, to track UAP activity in real time. “There’s nothing that compares to the assets the U.S. intelligence community has. That power is now being harnessed to help answer [UAP] questions,” says Mellon.

And whistleblower protection—informed by Elizondo’s experiences—will help ensure that no one fears retribution for calling out any failures to implement these new policies.
Meanwhile, the former intelligence official says that an army of more than 1,500 volunteers within the intelligence community now meets on classified networks where they analyze UAP videos and data. This group includes “literally everyone—CIA to the [National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency] and everyone in between.”

The legislation figures to end the Pentagon’s gnomish, decades-long silence. Leslie Kean, the longtime UAP journalist, sees a “radical change,” all of it stemming from Elizondo’s decision to go public. “Everything that’s happened since then really stemmed from his resignation,” she says. “It’s like a snowballing effect… It gave permission, in a sense, for Congress to do this without having to worry about the stigma anymore.”
