Tim, I politely reached out to FATE Magazine via the contact form on their website and they very generously granted us permission to leave your post up, simply asking that we give them credit, link to their website, and note when the article appeared - all of which we've now done in your post, which I've now restored after minor edits which  accomplish those things.

That's very good of them, Laird. Thanks for that. I did credit them for it and note when the article appeared but didn't link to their website, which I should have done. 

We're not going to agree on this but I still think the way you've truncated a lot of my posts has been a little over the top (not in every case of course) safety wise. Maybe you see it more 'ethically wise' because as I've said before, if someone did have a problem they would surely just ask you to take it down and that would be that. 

Personally, I don't think I want to do the work (to see if something is worth posting) and then get knocked back asking for permission to stick it up  (such as  happened with the German woman when they asked for 200 Euros). But I understand entirely why you want to be meticulous about this.

A very informative interview Parnia gave to Tulsa public radio back in 2013. Nothing new obviously, but it's not one I've heard previously and it's definitely worth a listen because of the concise questioning from the host and the clarity of Parnia's answers, particularly with his detailing of the science and state of play with regard to near death experiences and what they may mean.

This study by Melodie Olson RN PHD, from thirty years ago, deals with an issue which is not relevant now but nevertheless, it is a little snapshot of historical NDE research including the brief but quite interesting descriptions of the patient's NDE's at the end.

Some of the text seems a bit jumbled.

This part:

They feel as if their consciousness is moving through a void, then a which people lose consciousness and then feel as if their consciousness has separated from the physical body so that they can actually look down on themselves and the resuscitation procedure at a time that they are physically unconscious.

In my opinion might better read like this:

The first is the out-of-body pattern, in which people lose consciousness and then feel as if their consciousness has separated from the physical body so that they can actually look down on themselves and the resuscitation procedure at a time that they are physically unconscious.

And also this part (again, in my opinion) seems like a separate sub-heading of the type used between paragraphs in journalism:

'They feel as if their consciousness is moving through a void, then a bright light, then into a beautiful space’

Keep up the good work Tim. I've gleaned quite a lot of useful tidbits and commonalities from all these stories that I'm trying to test in my own work. Pretty sure I can develop a more useful method thanks to you.
