Bernardo brings up the topic of Realism v. Anti-Realism - made me recall there's discussion about this on Closer to Truth:

For a similar take but with some differing assumptions (or at least I think so  ) this seems like a good summarization of Hoffman's Interface Theory of Perception + Conscious Realism:
