I find the physicalist "nervous system" argument annoying, because it presumes that it is somehow a prerequisite for being able to experience pain, have consciousness or feel emotions. Has the "nervous system" claim ever been proven with rigorous scientific study, beyond shallow physicalist-influenced experiments?
