"These things have no place here. Full stop."

Such dogmatic opinions should be discouraged!  Big Grin

This however is not the same thing as a section of the site dedicated to conspiracy topics of all kinds,,, such as 911 government complicity, or the JFK assassination, or whether we landed on the moon, or whether Elvis is actually dead. These things have no place here. Full stop.

Once again: I fail to see the complexity of this issue. If something THIS simple is tying people in knots, I have my doubts about the ability of some in this group to grasp something of ACTUAL complexity and nuance.

I agree. In general I think the threads should look more like mind-energy.net and less like the 2.0 move to zenforo.

"I DO NOT want to discuss 9/11, global warming science, JFK, Trump or globalist politics."

We get it, we hear you!!!  Rolleyes

Or immunizations. Or the role of statins in the treatment of high blood pressure. Ugh.

Or anything concerning the unfair mainstream treatment of alternative and / or contrarian positions in science and medicine. Undecided

So, we need to be precise - are we talking about political "conspiracy theories", or the ones related, say, to Big Pharma wrongdoings? If the latter is also better to be left alone, then my plans to make an interview, once in the future, with some antipsychiatry / critical psychiatry figure(s) are not going to be fulfilled...

Or antipsychiatry / critical psychiatry is not a suitable topic for interview at all? I hope it is suitable, since the anomalous / spiritual expeiences do - to some extent, in some way - touch the complex and difficult sphere of "madness" and our attitude to it.

I think everything should be discussed if people want to go there.

David Bailey has definite ideas about statins for example, I know you and he don't see eye to eye. Big Grin Immunisations too, a friend of ours that I know quite well and trust implicitly, a very intelligent and what I would call 'spiritual' woman, has doubts about immunisations through personal experience. I think such things that are felt deep in people's hearts should be explored. 9/11 and JFK are such cases.

I don't believe in many CTs like Chemtrails, and Flat Earth etc. I think we ought to easily argue our way away from such nonsense. I don't think any of our members are inclined to embrace these type of CTs, though I could be mistaken, of course.

It seems I'm well in the minority holding such an opinion.
I'm more willing to discuss Flat Earth, AGW, even Contrails over libelous stuff like Pizzagate...though as others point out it's hard to see why any of this would be part of the forum.

On criticisms of science as practiced, I think that does have relevance given the materialist religion often appeals to scientific consensus and assumes objectivity on the part of materialist scientists.

I do wonder about simple criticisms of psychiatry or vaccines, this leans toward offering medical advice which seems beyond the purview of this forum? Again, it may not lead to legal liability but it seems to invite moral culpability? I would even suggest disclaimers for content related to psychedelic medicine or magical healing spells.

It's kind of my earlier point. I mean weather modification is not some pie in the sky fantasy. It's big business and it's already happening all over the globe. What contrails might contain could be up for discussion but to say that contrails are some crazy nutter conspiracy theory only belies a lack of research.

So where do we draw the line? What can and cannot be discussed? Is it "must have some relation to psi?"
Edited post #227 above Contrails to Chemtrails. Which I think is basically nonsense.

People typically videoing contrails in the sky over Scotland, and saying that they're Chemtrails, is nonsense. I'm not saying the military might not be interested in weather modification though, cloud seeding was carried out by friends of mine in South Africa, that's a long way from the videos I'm talking about above.

I feel like Jkmac covered it pretty well?

Admittedly this is my (and I guess his) opinion, I don't demand anyone follow suit in their thinking.
