What should forum policy be on defamatory posts?

Again, I applaud Raimo for revealing that one of the users is a sicko, and I think there is no place on the forum for any sort of hate speech whatsoever (I've said this since the beginning). I also don't think we should be banning people based on what they think, since I have no idea how you would even go about doing that. I now know Tim is a troll and is mostly here to just fuck with people. I appreciate this thread and can't imagine that my post could have possibly been misunderstood by anyone not living under a bridge, but in case it was, I hope this clears it up.

If you think pointing out posts about child abuse is "fucking with people" then you have some very strange ideas, Berkelon. No, he is not right. How many ways is there to interpret this statement from him/her ?

So do you think a public forum is a place for people who support child sex abuse ?

I'm sure that some people who regularly post here have thoughts about extreme violence, murder, child abuse and many other atrocities. We already know some posters have political beliefs that many others find unsavory and distasteful. 

For the forum I think we should judge people on what they actually post, not what they believe, what they state they believe or what they think.

All in my opinion, of course.
