So, they had the technology for interstellar travel, but not to automate mining?

I mean, a photon from a star 10,000 light years away, takes - from our perspective - 10,000 years traveling at the speed of light to reach us. But from the photon's perspective, it made the trip pretty much instantaneously - next to no time passed for it. So no big deal, relativistically it's like planting some seeds, then jumping into the future to harvest the crop immediately - no need to even wait, instant corn.

Cool idea! But if us hairy numbers are already at a stage where automation is cheaper/more efficient than manual labour (and has been in some areas for well over a century or two), then you'd think some kind of self replicating robot thingy would be a better bet for a super advanced interstellar species.

Love the thinking, though.

Edit: Upon reflection: I suppose some materialists would call humans self replicating robot thingies..... but then you'd have to think the aliens could've come up with something a little more efficient..... removing the 'unionism' and 'pulling a sickie' genes might've been a start. Smile

[that edit is no reflection on my politics, btw]

They had both and the need for manual labor, apparently, was a requirement. You do understand that interstellar travel and fully automated mining are not necessarily equally difficult/easy?

The creation of HS from HE, the concept was not to create fully conscious beings...and initially, they did not. The Anunnaki, as within many inter-dimensional communities, is  factioned. One faction (Enkiites) saw the potential in HS and, without approval, reformed DNA to allow for the growth of consciousness. Even then, only a portion of the HE community was reformed into non-conscious HS and conscious-growing HS.

All of this has been related a zillion times before, by much more appropriate conduits than I, go find out for yourself if interested...in something a bit more adult than silly swipes at POV that you cannot comprehend.
