Or maybe we should keep May but get rid of the conservatives but also make another referendum but about whether there should be another election?

Not bad, Ian but it doesn't quite have that ring about it, does it? I wonder if anyone has thought about using a suitable acronym.

I don't think we need get the Prime Minister involved in the naming of the forum.

Let's shut down the admin section of the forum until we get what we want. Big Grin

They are fundamentally the same topics, just different teams in defence and attack. The beauty of combining them is “proponents” can reclaim “true skepticism” through their arguments. Isn’t that the motivation behind the proposed change?

Well SvP is supposed to be about the main topic(s), i.e. psi. Alt Views on Science, as the descriptor under the title explains, is about non-psi science topics that can be indirectly tied to it. I don't think we want to collapse the two sub-forums. I know I don't.

btw personally I have no problem staying with the actual SvP title if there's too much disagreement about an alternative.

Skeptic's Corner seems to take out the "versus" aspect - isn't that the problem? - while managing to keep the point of the forum understandable to new comers and search engines.

I'm coming around to Chris's suggestion, "Does this Stuff even Exist?" if people really don't want the word Skeptic in there.

I’m not sure where that leaves posters like max, who think these phenomena exist but have developed a well-argued, workable (if disputed) mechanism.
