80 is a pretty respectable age to live to ~ cancer and other illnesses are unsurprising at that age. If one at least lives a fulfilling life, then that time was well-spent.

And by the reading of it, he lived a rich and fulfilling life, so he could move onto the next great adventure with no regrets.

I’m very sorry to hear this. It’s a great loss.

Very unfortunate.

As a non-academic trying to understand existence I appreciated how willing he was to answer my questions.

Perhaps more than anyone else, he helped me grasp my issue was with mechanistic thinking whether it was Materialist, Idealistic, or anything else.

By helping me see that humans simply cannot be mere machines he actually helped me become more confident about Survival even if he himself only grudgingly conceded the evidence favored Survival over Super Psi.

Yet even meeting the challenge of his argument helped me refine my own intellect, something more appreciated as one gets older.

I look forward to ideally being able to discuss his feelings on Survival when we might meet in person, when I too have moved on from my biological body.
