They could be mistaken about what they see or experience.

Even though the events seen actually occurred ?

Certainly. Psi phenomena most often happen with surprising unexpectedness experienced only once. Suppose one could video capture a full psi event and review it over and over might a different evaluation come forth?
Seeing something which is not there. This is not yellow.  https://youtu.be/R3unPcJDbCc

"Psi phenomena most often happen with surprising unexpectedness experienced only once"

Unexpected from the point of view of the experiencer, yes but not as generally observed.

The video you've linked to is irrelevant. No one mistakes a horses head for a toad in real life; that's just the business of creating optical illusions to prove a point. As to the science of how colour is interpreted, the important thing there is that the lemon exists.

Like all these topics, it's complicated.

But yes, maybe that's partly the answer. I've been watching videos about encounters with 'alien spacecraft'. The Travis Walton one, the 'West Lothian Question', and many others that provided physical evidence. Then there is also the mental, 'other dimension' side to it too.
Oh my God, I hate all this.   Surprise

The point is how easy it is to be fooled even when one trusts their senses.

Surely the scientific method, (observation of a pattern, collection of data, the forming of a hypotheses and the testing of it) eventually eliminates errors in judgement  ?  In NDE research they even insist that the brain (that is supposed to be responsible for the senses) isn't working.

Anyway, I don't find that argument at all reasonable when something is so commonly reported with such consistency.

Thanks, Stan. I was just making the point about the definition of UFO. Some people assume UFO = ET. When it just means
literally anything up in the sky not recognised. You know that of course.

It's everyone's choice to believe and think whatever you chose and that's precisely what you are doing ( whether it's true or not).

You mean they ?

Believe as regards finding the evidence for continuation of consciousness overwhelming ? Sooner or later the evidence will accrue to a level beyond which it will be an accepted fact (in science) or not.

Whatever things people wish to believe is not relevant really.
