I find it interesting that the human mind so easily can misremember events that happened. That perception is so malleable. What is up with that? I suppose scientists or those who research this stuff have a theory that it has some sort of evolutionary advantage?

I think interference-type theories which seek to explain some aspects of memory ain't too bad, and worthy of reading.
