It isn't a guess for the billions of beings who can observe it from any view they desire.

Oblate spheroid.

So anything that they wish to dismiss or ridicule gets to reside in the Flat Earth category, per the example given in this thread by Paul.

I have to admit that I have never read anything coming from the "believers" because I always thought it was some kind of satirical device - that nobody seriously believed the Earth is flat.

People do very sincerely believe the Earth is flat. Here's one such person his name is Chris Carter.
He has over 7000 subscribers to his channel. Some do not agree and are there to point out what's wrong with his reasoning, others do agree. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsLWn-f...HhPBdctu6g

I think it’s possible to promote ideas because they’re fun and mischievous rather than a strong belief that they represent the truth of the matter. Trolling rational skeptics can be so much fun. Smile

I can't believe anyone would do anything so cruel.

I don't know what role Christian fundamentalism played in your country, here though it does have a strong current. I've personally known persons that took the Bible literally. One might be stupified that anyone would argue for a flat Earth but I can assure you there are people that would.

I've known 4.

Got some chemistry papers, engineering proofs, or anything to back up your monotomic gold claims?

Corey Goode is far from a reliable source on anything, even from within the forum circles he travelled: http://www.oom2.com/t46815-more-on-the-t...orey-goode

Got any evidence that homeopathy produces effects greater than the placebo effect alone? Y'know, to show it's not just the placebo effect?

If you feel insulted, that is on you. You are responsible for how you are affected, not me. I backup everything I have to say with ET and spirit resources that I have mentioned too many times to count. It is time for you to quit playing the victim, get off your ass and do your own corroborative or non-corroborative research.

I look forward to engaging you after you have shown that you have put forth any worthwhile due diligence.
