Quote:Ex-Pentagon official alleges US has recovered nonhuman specimens
...
Former Pentagon insider Luis Elizondo says the Department of Defense has a spacecraft crash retrieval program and has recovered nonhuman specimens.
...
“The United States has been involved in the recovery of objects, vehicles of unknown origin that are neither from our country or any other foreign country that we’re aware of,” Elizondo said.
“We as a nation have been interested in not only the vehicles themselves but the occupants of these vehicles; to include biological specimens… We’re not alone. We are not alone in this universe and it is a simple fact. The U.S. government has been aware of that fact for decades.”

Quote:There is no discernible evidence that Luis Elizondo ever worked for a government UFO program, much less led one

Sherwood said he’d spoken with OUSDI leadership, including individuals who are “still there” from the time when Elizondo started working in the office.I then asked Sherwood how he knew that Elizondo hadn’t worked for AATIP during his time with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, where he was based from 2008 until his retirement in 2017. Quote:It bears noting that, although Elizondo has made a point of providing various documents to reporters (including me) to establish his bona fides, he does not appear to have supplied any materials that validate his connection to the government UFO program he insists he led. No memorandums, no emails discussing deliverables or findings, and no paperwork addressed to or from him that connects him to AATIP.
The documents he has provided include recent annual Defense Department performance evaluations and his October 4, 2017 resignation letter to then-Defense Secretary James Mattis, which bears the apparent seal of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense.

Quote:On the other hand, skeptics argue that Elizondo's claims are nothing more than a publicity stunt. Some have stated that he has no real scientific evidence to back up his claims and that he is simply exploiting the fascination surrounding the topic. In fact, there have been several inconsistencies in his story about AATIP UFOs, and some have even stated that he exaggerates his role in the program
Quote:Whether or not he is a hero or a huckster may remain debatable, but it is important to approach his claims critically and examine the evidence behind them. Without tangible evidence, it's important to avoid getting caught up in the hype and approach claims with a healthy dose of skepticism. According to UFO skeptic Mick West, Elizondo got a lot wrong about some of the relatively recent fighter pilot UAP videos, in his new book. I don't know about that, since other analyses have vouched for their authenticity as unknowns. This YouTube video appears to be an attempt to discredit Elizondo's new book Imminent: Inside the Pentagon's Hunt for UFOs, and also probably to discredit by guilt be association Elizondo's claims related in the Hill article about defense contractors have crashed saucer debris and biological evidence.

As per the links @ Brian posted, my best guess is Elizondo is trying to cash in on the disclosure hype.
But he can prove he's not a fraud by supplying real evidence at any point.

More evidence against Elizondo and this will hurt!

It's quite damning unfortunately. The way he speaks, the material etc. just gives a poor impression in that it would seem he is just not someone to trust.
There is something to the phenomenon, but again since everything verifiable with hard evidence is behind closed doors, it's hard to tell what exactly is going on.
Grusch, Cmdr Fravor and Graves are about the only ones who are genuinely credible atm, mostly because they testified under oath.

What is it about those three guys that you find credible? I'd need to double check who the other two are but Grusch doesn't seem credible at all?

If everything verifiable with hard evidence is behind closed doors, what makes you believe it exists?

I've seen strange things in the skies hundreds of miles out at sea in the North Atlantic.
I've seen a strange green light, rotating in field one night.
Also had lots of high strangeness in my life in general.

The fact he testified under oath.
We don't have knowledge of who his sources are unfortunately. If they are of the ilk that Sean Kirkpatrick has said is "circular reporting", then that's not great. But we don't know and we need hard evidence to be brought up. These upcoming hearings will hopefully hold water, but I doubt it lol.
