Energy Healing Dialogues

I see Healing Touch is sponsored by the Veterans Health Administration, and there's self-practice involved.

Personally, I'm still fighting some fairly debilitating lower back/pelvic area muscle issues. Weekly I'm doing both physiotherapy and massage therapy/osteotherapy plus a plethora of exercizes three times a day. If anybody's got recommendations for Energy healing modalities that address those types of issues, I'm all ears! (NDEr Nanci Danison says she learned during her NDE that Energy healing modalities are especially helpful.) She mentions Healing Touch, I'm not sure what that is.

I'm can't spend too much bucks on this (like regular Reiki sessions - I did one but didn't see much effect) because I'm already spending 200$ a week. If there's a self-healing technique out there, that would be interesting. I will be trying to focus my meditation practice on this issue specifically.

I would definitely try acupuncture - my only caveat is that I always use the same guy - so there may be less helpful practitioners about.

That biofield tuning sounds interesting. I did a 25-minute session following a presention on Youtube by a practitioner. I notice Eileen McKusick (kind of weird she has "sick" in her name!) offers some longer virtual sessions on YT too. I'll definitely try that.

COVID-related (and other non-psi-related sociopolitically-related) discussions belong in the appropriate sub-forums. You should be aware of this as you've used them, so please be mindful of this.

Sorry Ninshub,

It was never my intention to break the moderation rules - because I definitely support them - I don't want to see this forum swamped by controversy. My original comment on this subject was not specific, but then I got pushed to justify my position.......

No problem.
Having listened to a fair bit of that video, I am unable to make out whether she is treating one patient or an indefinite number of people listening in. I mean surely the theory is that those tuning forks interact with the patient's biolectric field and that shows up in the sound they make - but whose field?

Yeah, in that last one she's tuning to everyone (?) listening, kind of like group therapy, and whatever "now" that includes (it was a live youtube event, but she says it includes whoever listens in the future, 'cause time is an artifact.)

I did listen to this video where she explains when she opened up her mind about doing this work at a distance, which she didn't think made sense before.

But you bring up a good point. It's one thing to do it a distance (virtually), another to include everyone?? I'm guessing that would make it a lot less effective.

I can't see it made much of an impact on me, although of course it's always possible that there's cellular-level change going on and you don't notice it in the moment.

With the shorter one I did with another practitioner beforehand, again it included everyone, but it felt more guided and focused in what the person was adressing, and the presenter said I could experience a headache afterward and need to drink water. I did experience the headache immediately after, for a few minutes awyway.
My younger cat was meowing like crazy throughout the whole thing, though, really excited, and kept coming to see me. A little distracting! Possibly just the sound of those tuning forks!

I keep meaning to thank you for bringing this up David, so now I'm taking the opportunity.

Upon the suggestion of the physio and massage therapists helping with my back problems, I also started acupuncture last November or so (my body seemed to overreact, like it's developed its own PTSD). I'm not completely out of the woods but the clearing is more and more visible. I'm very glad I started because this person treats all of the psycho-spiritual baggage that expresses itself in the body problems as well, so it's this great, larger healing journey.
