Alex in his happy, happy place, with his guest confirming that an idea Alex doesn't agree with is stupid, and without a shred of nuance to be found anywhere.

And - courtesy of the Daily Grail - yesterday another Scientific American blog post appeared, entitled Should Quantum Anomalies Make Us Rethink Reality?

[Edit: Funny to see an advertisement inserted in the post, apparently making Kastrup say:

Back in 1957, philosopher Owen Barfield wrote:
"Start off as human or elf and unlock dwarfs, fairies and other fantasy races to join you."

If it had been 1967, maybe.]

Another recent podcast appearance by BK:

Interviews with intellectuals from across the globe. Topics include philosophy, religion, science, politics, economics, and everything else that's important to humans. Steve Patterson is a philosopher working outside of academia, and he is currently traveling the world to interview people in the pursuit of truth.

And a lecture in January:

It's interesting to see immaterialist ideas as "crazy" (relative to materialism) as Idealism get press in SA.

We're slowly moving in the right direction, though I personally think certain aspects of Bernardo's metaphysics are too mechanistic for my taste. (Admittedly it's been awhile since I looked deeply into his philosophy so my own opinoon could be very outdated)
'Historically, we may regard materialism as a system of dogma set up to combat orthodox dogma...Accordingly we find that, as ancient orthodoxies disintegrate, materialism more and more gives way to scepticism.'

- Bertrand Russell
