Nothing profound to add other than to simply say thank you for taking the time and effort to report your experience here.  I truly appreciated reading your post.  I'm happy for you and hopefully that doesn't come off as glib or condescending.

I also appreciate your sense that these things must be sought out.  I've been a "waiter" most of my life on the topic; waiting for something profound or remarkable to happen.  Its ironic as I think I've always known that insight won't come that way.  I'll have to spend more time re-reading and thinking about this post.

I was lifted up, out of the kitchen, yet still aware I was in it, and became enormous, totally totally huge with an enormous intellect... 

So "you" still occupied your body, but had also expanded to fill space around it? This bit sounds like my own experiences (but you went on to have much, much more, of course.)
