I think this would be better if everyone were told to decide their answer but keep it secret for a fixed amount of time. Then we can see if everyone really converged on the number 3.
Incidentally, Dean Radin has a big section on telepathy and related phenomena in his book, "Supernormal".

The answer to all "think of a number" questions is: 42.
(thanks to the The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy).
Unfortunately that obscured any other answers for me, but I did reason that I could add the digits and take the average, which is of course 3.
N.B. I thought of this before reading any of the other answers, this is at least an independent response.
Perhaps in future the title of the post might list the range of possible answers - where appropriate. Of course if the question is about a photograph or a drawing then there's no need to describe it in the title.

I don't think you can get a good sample for something like this.
Better conducted by a popular social media influencer.
'Historically, we may regard materialism as a system of dogma set up to combat orthodox dogma...Accordingly we find that, as ancient orthodoxies disintegrate, materialism more and more gives way to scepticism.'

Thank you for your interesting answers, Ninshub, Brian and Typoz (I accept Typoz' answer as a "3", in spite of a slight ambiguity).
The correct answer was "1" (not "3"), but the fact all of you replied "3" is interesting because of a non-random element.
