Well your incarnation may not be in this world...which as an aside I never understood the "growing population argument" against reincarnation.
The Buddha even notes that we transmigrate from world to world, something that is mentioned in Hinduism + other religious beliefs.

If I think back to my go-to authority on these matters (the Seth Material), I believe that was also affirmed as a possiblility (although not an inevtability).
I do not make any clear distinction between mind and God. God is what mind becomes when it has passed beyond the scale of our comprehension.
