The Truth About UFOs by Johnny Harris (Wikipedia page) on February 1, 2023. It's a little dated by now but still holds up well. Its take is, essentially, "Serious and disciplined journalist looks for the real evidence for UFOs, without buying into the hype, myths, and sensational stories". Spoiler: he finds enough to convince him there's a there there.
Another hat tip to @Aussie Mike, whom I simply can't entice back here despite that he shares heaps of this sort of stuff with me by email. I will keep working on him!
A recording from the Monroe Institute archives, which seems to lend credence to the proposition that at least some UFOs and extra-terrestrials are inter-dimensional and consciousness-based rather than nuts-and-bolts and physical:

Yes, you guessed it - another hat-tip to @Aussie Mike.
I haven't yet watched this YouTube video, but I would comment that the orientation and background of Monroe Institute (which appears to be towards expansion of consciousness presumably into spiritual and afterlife territory) militates against these accounts being taken seriously by hard-over nuts-and-bolts ETI believers and also materialists in general. I myself have mostly been a believer in the ETI hypothesis that at least some UFOs are indeed somebody else's nuts-and-bolts hardware, but this new material seems to offer a perhaps plausible middle ground which could additionally explain the high weirdness UFO phenomena which have also been frequently reported.

A thirteen-minute video of David Kipping - an Associate Professor of Astronomy at Columbia University and the founding director of the Cool Worlds Laboratory - talking for Big Think.
Quote:In the vast silence of the cosmos, one unsettling theory lingers: What if we’re not alone, everyone else is hiding? The Dark Forest Hypothesis offers a chilling answer to the Fermi Paradox: intelligent civilizations may be out there, but they stay silent out of fear.
Astronomer David Kipping explores the risks of shouting into the void, the psychology of cosmic survival, and whether alien civilizations might already know we’re here.
This video was highly recommended to me by @Aussie Mike, and after watching it, I see why.
Quote:Even after 34 years in the CIA with access to classified UAP programs, Jim Semivan admits: "We don't know what the phenomenon is."
In this eye-opening conversation, former CIA Operations Officer Jim Semivan shares why the intelligence community remains baffled by UAPs despite 80 years of study. As co-founder of To The Stars Academy and a veteran of the National Clandestine Service, Jim offers an unprecedented insider's perspective on humanity's most perplexing mystery.
🎯 Key revelations from this discussion:
🔹 Why his personal UAP encounter in the 1990s changed everything
🔹 The real reason presidents don't get full UAP briefings
🔹 How "the phenomenon" defies our understanding of physics and consciousness
🔹 Why disclosure is far more dangerous than the public realizes
🔹 The legacy programs that have studied this since the 1940s
🔹 How UAPs demonstrate capabilities that suggest reality itself is malleable
🔹 The "wicked problem" that makes this unsolvable with current science
🔹 Why even those with cosmic clearances say "we don't know"
Jim doesn't claim to have answers - instead, he reveals why even those on the inside are struggling to comprehend something that appears to be "classically indifferent" to humanity while demonstrating godlike capabilities.
💭 "Disclosure means scaring seven-year-olds," Jim explains, as he walks us through why the government's 80-year silence might be more about helplessness than conspiracy.
This isn't another UFO interview. It's a philosophical exploration of what happens when the world's most powerful intelligence agency encounters something beyond human comprehension.
