The famous Travis Walton case is a truly messy hoax.

The more reasonable UFO proponents, such as Theo Paijmans, have known this case was BS for many years. It's so wildly at variance with the typical abduction experience that it immediately raises massive red flags, not to mention that Walton just comes off as a lying psychopath to anyone who's got a good grasp on abnormal psych.
