This and other UFO orb videos

I presume that this debunk attempt is showing how high-tech deep fake video techniques could easily produce the orb images.

The Pentagon announced this imaging. The biggest problem with the above theory is that the original images came from a Reaper drone on an almost certainly classified mission. Data from the Reaper mission would undoubtedly also be classified, and not available to the deep fake technology experts. Unless of course it is the unlikely possibility that the "sighting" was a deliberate black ops disinformation attempt by some level of our own government.

You need to watch it and listen carefully and stop just blindly believing every book and newspaper article you read that confirms your beliefs and makes you feel comfortable in your new age position.

Quote:The head of the Pentagon office reviewing UFO incidents reported by military personnel told Congress Wednesday that his office is now reviewing 650 incidents, but that there is no evidence that any of them is of extraterrestrial origin.

Quote:Kirkpatrick urged UFO enthusiasts to submit their research ana analysis of UAP incidents to credible peer reviewed scientific journals because AARO is working to do the same. That is how science works, not by blog or social media," he added.

While I think it's good to encourage the questioning of things, I'm a bit puzzled by the tossing around of the term "new age" as an attempt to disparage others. Personally I attach no significance to that term, it feels very neutral. Still, if you like to throw words around like that, bear in mind hardly anyone is using that approach towards your beliefs. Maybe live and let live, just stick to the facts - and recognise the unknowns too.

Brian I've asked you before to define what you mean by "new age" and you avoid my posts when I directly challenge you.

Furthermore, Nb doesn't "need" to do anything. This comment is veering on the disrespectful.

This response also applies to the recent ID and Theistic Evolution discussion in the "Intelligent Design" thread (starts at https://psiencequest.net/forums/thread-i...7#pid53197).

Maybe I should apologize for attempting to present some truths that turned out to be totally indigestible to some Christian religionists, so indigestible and upsetting that it impelled a lot of intemperate ad hominem responses. But wait a minute - presenting what is felt to be the truth based on evidence and logic, followed by civil debate, is supposed to be central to Psiencequest's mission. So I guess I won't apologize.

Their analysis of the first video - the one that's the subject of this thread - doesn't make sense. They say that it reminds them of other orb videos where there's an object flying in a straight line at seemingly crazy speeds, but the aeroplane itself is flying (in the opposite direction) at a crazy speed, which is why when it's tracked the orb seems to be flying so fast against the ground. Clearly, though, the drone that captured the video which is the subject of this thread is stationary or near enough to it, so the comparison doesn't hold.

Moreover, if it's a balloon as they say it is, then the wind that's propelling it is pretty fierce. Unfortunately, there's nothing (else) in the video that could demonstrate one way or the other whether or not a wind actually is blowing. Presumably, the government agency which is investigating would have looked into that.

This brings us to the point alluded to by @nbtruthman - government agencies with more information than these guys and us are taking this seriously, and they don't accept just any old evidence. In the case of the Tic-Tac incident with which these guys compared this one, there was far more than just video data - there were all sorts of anomalous and extraordinary radar confirmations, not to mention the observations of experienced fighter pilots.

It's just too blithe and easy a blow-off.

That's not to say that the rest of the video isn't of merit. They do seem to detect a genuine fake at the end.
