Should be interesting. Since reaching adulthood, I've never been drawn to religion (almost the opposite, in fact) but I have maintained a somewhat detached fascination with religious symbolism - and esoteric/occult symbolism, for that matter. I think the two probably converge at some point.
I do not make any clear distinction between mind and God. God is what mind becomes when it has passed beyond the scale of our comprehension.
