There is a quirky situation regarding the naming of the themes, since the 'default' in no longer the default. Nothing to lose sleep over but maybe at some point the theme formerly known as 'default' might be renamed 'classic' or something. That would only matter in terms of the name displayed to the user, I assume it would not affect anything internally.

Yep, that was my motivation in renaming "Default" to "MyBB Default". It might not be enough though.

Excellent. Given your endorsement along with the lack of objection from anybody else, I've migrated changes from the Staging/Testing version to the main Roundo theme, and set it as default. Visitors and new members will now see a mobile-friendly theme, which should also help us increase our Google search result placings.

Next up: a dark mode which can be toggled on/off.

Thanks very much for all the hard work you've put in here Laird, to give us a modern looking, responsive site, and personally too for accommodating my requests. Thanks also to @Typoz who has clearly been working away behind the scenes testing it's functionality, and to anyone else who helped behind the scenes to bring this to fruition.

Yep. Just scroll down to the very bottom of any page and you'll see a "Theme Selector" dropdown. Select "MyBB Default" and that'll change you back to the old style.

I don't think it's any more spread out than the original default theme, but let me know if after comparing and contrasting you still think it is, and what you think we can/should do about it.

Personally I mostly prefer a darker theme

These days, so do I. I'm sure that there are others among us who do too. That motivated me to integrate the dark version of the Roundo theme, Roundo Darko, into the light version which we're already using, Roundo Light, and add three icons to the heading for switching between colour schemes. You can see the result by selecting the "Roundo (Test of Colour Mode Switching)" theme in the Theme Selector in the board's footer.

Am keen to know what folk think, especially you and @Max_B. What works and what needs fixing?

I'm planning, once we've pulled it into shape, for it to replace the current Roundo Light theme which we've just set as default. Are there any spanners to throw into the works of this plan, or is it sound?

I quickly got used to it, but I felt the same initially, I really like it now. It's great on my phone and tablet.

Occasionally finding a minor niggle... when I click the 'new' button that lets you know there are new unread posts on a thread, the link goes to the body of the new post, and misses out the post header, which tells you who posted it. I'm finding I have to scroll up first, before scrolling down to read the new posts.
