Hmm, that's peculiar. Are you clicking on the little horizontal green arrows to the left of the post? They take you to the first unread post. If you just click on the link to the thread itself, then, yes, it doesn't necessarily take you to where you left off. (2017-09-05, 03:10 PM)Laird Wrote: Hmm, that's peculiar. I ask this because I was just reading about, and listening to, phys med Stewart Alexander, and one his guides was White Feather. The concept of the Native American in the seance room has its roots in Spritualism physical mediumship as early as the mid 1800s. They began showing up promising to help white Spiritualist mediums navigate the 'otherworld' as they had helped colonial explorers navigate the New World. Note the emphasis on white, they were the Redskin mascots of their time. “Me know how to help you draw earth vibrations,” Bright Moon replied. I thought this presentation was great because he explains how his mediumship developed: how he started as a skeptic and didn't expect to become interested in this kind of thing at all, how he tested himself to convince himself that his trance mediumship wasn't just a part of his personality, etc. Good stuff! Stewart is alive but only performing PM within small groups in or near his hometown of Kingston upon Hull. Sat once, highly evidential in terms of discarnate communications, dematerialization of cable straps and his arm through a cable tie still zipped close. Laughing trumpets who answer questions, with nods and shakes, ecto voice boxes and direct voice, ectoplasmic "hands" that protrude from the ecto...you know, all that boring trickery.
Amazing.
Here's another account of physical mediumship which I found convincing for a variety of reasons

Recently, a message from David Thompson:
Many people have been speculating over the last year why The Circle of The Silver Cord has been quiet, so I thought I would set the record straight. After much thought and 6 years of travelling I decided to spend more time at home to be with my family, I have a young son and wished to be there so I could share and experience those early wonderful years. Another reason, was because I gravely became disillusioned with "Spiritualism" and the so called "Spiritual" or should I say many "un-Spiritual" people I had encountered over the last 6 years of travelling, don`t get me wrong, I have met some beautiful and wonderful people some of whom will remain lifelong friends, but I also saw a lot of ugly, self centered people who were hell bent on doing as much harm to others as they could, and to be blunt that really made me question a lot of what Spiritualism actually stood for, so before I turned my back completely on mediumship, I decided to go back to a normal everyday job, I don`t miss spiritualism one little bit, but I do miss the spirit world. I will continue to demonstrate/develop physical mediumship BUT only too a couple of select places once or twice a year. I certainly will not do ANY public seances anywhere I have never been before. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many good decent people I have met over the last 6 years and thank them for their friendship and kindness, I hope to see some of you again sometime in the future. Most of all I would like to thank my amazing circle members who are and will always be my family, because without them none of the last 6 years would have been possible, we will always be a circle and always continue our work, just in a different way. Best Wishes David Thompson |
