Joanne Mansfield, vice president of the Lily Dale Assembly (...) was unaware that Lily Dale had been placed on the National Register of Historic Places until a Buffalo News reporter told her.

Just skimmed the article. Especially one despairs that the Spiritualists somehow selected a blue-haired betattoed Mrs. Shepp for the director of their museum at Lilydale. Shepp, an atheist, is the former director of Joe Nickell's museum of fraudulent fads and fancies as he terms them, all things smacking of the paranormal. Nickell is a prominent closed-minded pseudo-skeptic of all things paranormal.
