AFAIK Stevenson had no political agenda when he posited that reincarnation may explain why someone feels there's a mismatch between soul and body in specific regard to sex/gender.
I have a personal aversion to people bringing in politics into everything - as Watson does which you are right to challenge - but I think it is important to note Stevenson died before certain ideas about sex/gender became mainstream.
As such I think accusing Stevenson of any kind of prejudice here, or really any hard position on such matters, is grossly unfair regardless of how one feels about current political issues.
