My final (tentative) position

I often think it’s inviting disagreement when people say “this is what I think”. Sometimes it’s better to ask questions. Stating a position to be true on topics such as we discuss here is almost definitely not going to be right in part or even completely. I find it’s a lot easier to change my mind if I haven’t been too dogmatic.

My above position is personal and tentative and open to adaptation but it doesn't look likely to change because the evidence just goes round and round in circles argument/refutation/argument/refutation/back to first argument again.  I am not claiming those things to be hard truths.   When I open threads they are usually questions or invitations to discussion but they don't seem to get any response other than Steve001 knee-jerking about some detail that wasn't the point of the discussion.  I want a good discussion but all I ever find is a brick wall.  As well as that  It seems I can't express my opinions without some accusation taking place that I can't make head or tail of.  I often feel like becoming everything that I am accused of just for the mindless spite of it.

Are you perhaps mistaking accusations for challenges?
