My father has been in poor health lately. He is 80 years old, suffered a cerebral infarction last year, and fell on the asphalt a week ago. Due to the fall, he had severe bruising, and yesterday evening his speech was more slurred than usual. He had no strength left; all he could do was sleep. (We had, of course, called the local healthcare provider to ask for their advice). This morning he woke up feeling spry and told my mother and me about his experience last night.
According to him, he floated out of his body and hovered near the ceiling. He felt as though he had no arms or legs. A voice spoke to him, telling him to watch the clock below (there is a digital alarm clock on his bedside table). It was 1:11 AM. The voice told him that if he survived this minute, he would get better. The time moved forward to 1:12 AM, and he returned to his body. The voice said, "You will survive this." Now he feels that yesterday evening was definitely his lowest point, and he is already feeling much better. It seems he truly is in better shape: he is much more energetic, and his speech is clearer. He is convinced that this was not a normal dream, and the experience has clearly made a deep impression on him. Interestingly, he has always been a skeptic regarding life after death and similar phenomena.
