Over virtually the entire modern history of UFOs there have been many sightings of often huge "flying triangles". Because of their characteristics observed as far back as the late 1940s through the 1970s (long before it would have been even remotely possible that these things could have been experimental vehicles), the extraterrestrial hypothesis is the leading suggested explanation.

Though it would be exciting, there's likely a down to earth explanation. The flying wing testing concept and testing dates  back to the 1920's.

These days I don't take any great interest in ufo phenomena. I'm neither for nor against anything - though photographic evidence tends to be weak, in  my opinion.

Still what I was going to say, years ago, maybe thirty years back, I used to dream of alien spacecraft from time to time, there was something overwhelmingly powerful about them. And the ships in my dreams were always triangular. I was actually shocked when I saw the film Independence Day, to see these 15-mile diameter circular craft. I thought, "well, they've got that wrong - don't they know they are triangular?!" . Nowadays I wouldn't be so picky, I've not dreamed or thought much of these things for decades.
