Excellent Discussion

I struggled to know where to put this video as it includes many of the topics like NDE, Reincarnation, Death Bed Visions etc. John Cleese in the chair with five experts.

Oh my God, I hate all this.   Surprise

I find it a little sad and a comment on our society that such an array of leading expert investigators in the various fields of parapsychology is quite unique in academia, at least as far as I know.  They all have positions in the Division of Perceptual Studies (a politically correct euphemism if there ever was one) of the Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia. The DoPS and these positions only exist because of a large bequest by Chester Carlson, the inventor of Xerography, made specifically for this academically forbidden area of study. This work at UVA was also partially funded by another private bequest. Probably little of the ground-breaking work of Ian Stevenson on childrens' past life memories would ever have been done without these unique private gifts. I'm sure there have been numerous attempts by the powers-that-be to redirect these funds to more respectable fields. That fate has apparently for the most part already happened with the Arthur Koestler grant to the University of Edinburgh, which formed the Koestler Parapsychology Unit in the Psychology Department there.

I only just found this. It's a fun watch, and my first time seeing and hearing any of these people except for Greyson. I hope Cleese is guarding his health; his voice is sounding a bit thick.
