This is more on the personal exploration side of research in a lot of cases, but figured it would fit here best. As always don't take medical advice just from the internet...especially not from me as I have 0 or less medical credentials...
Quote:We discuss how Chinese medicine sees the human energy body/ies, the antiquity of the system, how it works, what it works best with and the attitude or ways of thinking that characterise TCM. In particular, we look at what even am meridians, how TCM understands human organs, polarity and all that good stuff.

Quote:The legendary Eileen McKusick joins us this week for the next Rune Soup Energy Healing Dialogue.
We discuss the origins of biofield tuning, how it and other forms of sound healing work, what it’s best for and what other modalities it best supports. A fantastic discussion with a true healing pioneer. Enjoy!

I am sure this advice was good at one time, but not anymore. Now that doctors are trying to persuade people to receive essentially untested jabs and contriving to ignore the damage that they do to some, I don't agree - the medical system has sold its soul to Big Pharma.
On second thoughts however, perhaps you meant this comment tongue in cheek.

Moronic David. Utterly so.
You'd propose the average citizen in a developed nation ignore the advice of the medical community and instead seek to diagnose and determine therapy options via internet searches?
There are flaws in the medical system, certainly. But what you've suggested is, again, completely moronic.
Doctors, nurses, PAs, NPs, therapists, etc. They are effectively treating millions of people every day, reducing pain and suffering, and nourishing people back to health.

I absolutely agree.

Yes, but someone has to spell out those flaws and do something to stop them from continuing! Even to try to use the health service one has to use the internet to avoid some of their blind spots
How can you trust a health service that encourages people to get vaccinated with something that has not been properly tested for safety and ignores data suggesting that it is unsafe.
I mean, if doctors are willing to countenance such behaviour, what else might they do? I feel they have totally undermined our trust.
Doesn't anyone expect that doctors should stand up for their patients - not the system?

I think the COVID (and related) discussion belongs in the sub-forums?
Maybe it's best to stay away from this topic if there's no way to discuss energy healing without touching on the topics that we don't make part of this particular forum?

Probably best. David's obtuseness on this topic just triggers me.

COVID-related (and other non-psi-related sociopolitically-related) discussions belong in the appropriate sub-forums. You should be aware of this as you've used them, so please be mindful of this.
A reminder of how to navigate the forums in terms of science controversies:
Quote:a) Threads about psi-related scientific controversies can and should be posted in the relevant subforums on the regular, open main forum. (E.g. "IANDS has been infiltrated by cult members", should go into the NDE subforum).
b) Threads about science topics that relate indirectly to psi, spirituality and metaphysics (cosmology, evolution, possibly others) can and should go into Alternative Views on Science. (E.g. threads about intelligent design.)
c) Threads about non-psi-related science topics that are not heavily sociopolitically-related or sociopolitically controversial can and should go into Other Topics. (E.g. cold fusion.)
d) Threads about non-psi-related science topics that are or easily become sociopolitically-related or sociopolitically controversial can and should go into this hidden subforum (E.g. global warming.) (If you are unsure, ask yourself if the forum members who are not interested in non-psi political discussion or conspiracy theories would like to view these threads, and post accordingly. Global warming and other such non-psi topics can quickly descend into political battlegrounds and that should be the guiding principle here.)

I don't see that necessarily. There's plenty to potentially talk about here without getting into socio-political dimensions, vaxx, big pharma, etc.
Personally, I'm still fighting some fairly debilitating lower back/pelvic area muscle issues. Weekly I'm doing both physiotherapy and massage therapy/osteotherapy plus a plethora of exercizes three times a day. If anybody's got recommendations for Energy healing modalities that address those types of issues, I'm all ears! (NDEr Nanci Danison says she learned during her NDE that Energy healing modalities are especially helpful.) She mentions Healing Touch, I'm not sure what that is.
I'm can't spend too much bucks on this (like regular Reiki sessions - I did one but didn't see much effect) because I'm already spending 200$ a week. If there's a self-healing technique out there, that would be interesting. I will be trying to focus my meditation practice on this issue specifically.
