Complexity and consciousness

Since so many materialists, including I think SH, seem to think that 'complexity' is the explanation of consciousness, it is rather interesting how frustratingly difficult it is to define complexity!

The materialist religion evokes complexity in a manner akin to the creationist who says Satan put fossils in the ground.

Though at least the creationist claim is logically possible, no matter how implausible whereas the materialist tries to make sense of logical nonsense...even going so far as to claim Consciousness - the means by which we know anything at all - is an "illusion".
