This woman gets it. Went through some serious shit. A lot of spiritual talk, but the flashlight is kind of pointed in the right direction.

"Why do we need to have a spiritual resume. Why do we have to put ourselves on a spiritual map."

An interesting thought during watching this--Enlightenment is going to present itself as unique in each individual.

80% of this talk is dedicated to "The Dark Night of the Soul."

This woman is no bullshit, but I'm not really "getting" a lot. I'm not resonating, but others may.

This woman has a lot of wisdom.

Nice person. Not sure how much longer I can go on listening.

I'm kind of wondering if some people label their experience as "awakening" and then they kind of frame everything that happens as part of that "awakening."

Watched it. Enjoyed Saltzman. He kind of kept Rick in check, which was fun to watch.

Generally I'm not a big form of awakening interviews. They just get so dreamy, and odd. Sort of like being on a mild drug high: nothing fully makes sense but slightly does. I don't know. I think I like subject matter that is in sharper focus.

I liked this better than most but I think the subject matter just doesn't thrill me.

I watched it too. Well, 1hr 20mins of it.  Didn't get it at all.

I can't help after listening to so many batgaps thinking that "enlightenment" or "full awakening" is an actual and achievable state of being. And I understand that everyone who gets there basically would agree that it is a full conscious realization of reality. And I think it is the same "place" for all who truly "get there."

But who is to say that this is the actual "truth?" Just because spiritual traditions say this is the ultimate truth, how can we say it actually is? Maybe it is just a unique state of human "being."

Good point. I tend to favor that perspective. "Enlightenment" as an enhanced state of being rather than the quest for truth. The Eastern traditions that conceptualize it as the latter rather than as a practical matter turn me off a bit. Perhaps "truth" is mostly a human concept, grounded in certain cultural traditions (Western philosophy, Indian philosophy, etc.).
