Ayahuasca for PTSD: Interview with "From Shock to Awe" Producer Janine Sagert

Quote:Cutting across political and socio-economic boundaries, the documentary film From Shock to Awe illustrates a sympathetic and effective way psychedelics can help address trauma plaguing veterans. It’s an intimate and raw look at the transformational journey of two combat veterans suffering from severe trauma as they abandon pharmaceuticals to seek relief from the mind-expanding world of psychedelics. From Shock to Awe premieres on November 12, 2018 across the US

In this interview with the film’s co-creator and producer Janine Sagert, we discuss whether ayahuasca is a “cure” for PTSD, where the film’s subjects are now (and if they’ve drank any more ayahuasca), the inspiration behind the film, and more.
'Historically, we may regard materialism as a system of dogma set up to combat orthodox dogma...Accordingly we find that, as ancient orthodoxies disintegrate, materialism more and more gives way to scepticism.'

Such an undertaking should ALWAYS be done with a genuine shaman who has experience handling these cases, because, as someone who's drunk Ayahuasca solo, many times, it is not at all a pleasant ride. Not when your fears tend to come to life.

Sure, a skilled shaman can easily handle the violent energies that might emerge during the healing process, but prior experience is best. Smile

There are too many plastic shamans around these days, in the US... Sad
