My new book about psi ganzfeld research

It's 50 years since the first paper using the ganzfeld technique to research psi and so I've written a book on the topic. I mentioned it in September last year and now it's finally done, I thought I should mention it again.

It's available on Amazon

And you can read an excerpt here:

Thanks. Ganzfeld is a fascinating topic. I shall take a look with great interest.

... it's now downloaded to my Kindle reader. Smile

I have always wanted a Ganzfeld device purely for the trip.  I have heard a lot about it's alleged capabilities with psi but I have never looked into it.  I think it's a fascinating subject but what I am most interested in is what it might be able to tell us about consciousness.

Excellent - been looking more & more into the history of parapsychology itself.

Thanks!

You have a persuasive sales pitch LOL   It isn't expensive so when I am back from my holiday to England, maybe I will indulge. Wink

I bought a copy of your book, ersby, and I read it a little bit.

Some observations:
- It's nice that you talked with and interviewed so many people active in the field (with a recent reference provided at the end).

- From your conclusion, I get the impression that you are not too sure yourself about whether the ganzfeld studies have proven the existence of ESP.

- I would personally have liked to see a chapter entitled "Response to wikipedia" (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganzfeld_experiment ).

- I found no table of contents in the Kindle version, but I was able to read the contents by clicking on "Read sample" (of the paperback version) on the Amazon page:
https://www.amazon.com/Staring-Red-Sky-R...=4&depth=2

- I found no possibility of rating and commenting your book on Amazon. Is this intentional?

I think that as long as replication is unsuccessful, that is a good position to take although the results that were achieved are interesting and maybe future follow-ups will be more constructive.

- Thanks for the comments.

- I think the ganzfeld is measuring something, but I'm not sure what.

- Might have been nice to talk about Wikipedia, but I don't find internet debates hugely interesting. I had to force myself to write the chapters on the two meta-analyses.

- I'll double check the table of contents - it should be there.

- I'll also check why no ratings are allowed. Definitely not intentional.

Thanks again.
