What are you doing?

I have been Beta testing and making presets for a modular synthesizer  https://xsrdo.blogspot.com/ and my wife and I have been making a birthday card for her mother by putting blobs of watercolour paint onto paper and blowing it around with a straw.  It was great fun and very therapeutic.

I've been designing and weaving tessellations to use on extended block weave structures. I'm having fun with it, and it looks like I've made this up because I haven't found any mention of it (or examples of it) anywhere else on the web. And when I showed one example to a weaving guru who specializes in pushing the limits of block designs, she said it was a novel idea. So I'm going to write an article for the Complex Weavers' Journal about it. Is it possible to post a picture here?

Other than that, I've been cutting up pillowcases to make masks.

My wife has seen videos of pour painting on youtube but although she likes it, it wastes a lot of acrylic paint and it often involves substances that she doesn't like using.  I'm wondering however if there are ways of getting around this.

This is a picture of some sampling (trying out some different colours and making sure the weave structure was weaving properly), so ignore the imperfections. I didn't take pictures of the other patterns I did and don't have them with me (I'm traveling), but you get the idea. This happens to be double weave (two layers of cloth - one darker, one lighter - which change places from front to back in order to form patterns).

I haven't done pour painting, but my mom has. What substances doesn't she like? I can ask what my mom uses. She used to do marbling on fabric, so she has a good idea of the principles, and may have come up with some other substances.

Wow, that's beautiful.  You got two likes from my wife.

She feels the whole process wastes too many resources but it's mainly poisonous stuff like the resin that is used to make the cell shapes.
