Tom Ruffles's experiment on precognitive wisdom of crowds

Tom Ruffles is having another go at a "wisdom of crowds" experiment with a precognitive aspect, previously attempted unsuccessfully by the late Ron Pearson:

It involves guessing when the Yellowstone supervolcano in Wyoming will next erupt.

Tom Ruffles emphasises that "guesses must be private and not made after discussion with anybody else", so if people do take part, they should be careful not to post their guesses here!

I should have explained that the previous attempt was unsuccessful in that there were (presumably) not enough responses to Pearson's appeal for guesses.
