I got the same answer as you guys, but for a different reason. Mind you, I think Chris' has the correct reasoning.

I am not sure why either of us let alone both of us were screened out, because we seem to fit all of the criteria, but there you have it. I also gave it a go, because I seemed to fit the criteria, and I was also screened out. But I received an email inviting me to participate in an additional survey a few days ago, after a review of my responses. Maybe make sure to check your inbox and/or junk folder for a follow-up invitation. Both my friend and I recently received an email re-inviting us to participate - apparently in the original survey. My guess - and that's all that it is - is that they had a technical glitch that was screening out everybody, which they eventually realised. I haven't yet resumed the survey, but at your prompting, I might do that now. It's interesting that you mention that you fit the criteria too - I wouldn't have expected that, which goes to show how easy it is to form mistaken assumptions about others. People who have had such experiences are being sought to take part in the study. There is an advisory committee (which they are calling the SPIRIT Alliance) drawn from quite a wide range of institutions, ranging from mental health and advocacy groups to parapsychologcal institutes such as the Rhine Research Center and the Windbridge Research Center: Courtesy of the SPR Facebook page - here is an article by Philip Corlett of Yale University about this work, on the website of Spirit of Change magazine, again appealing for volunteers: https://www.spiritofchange.org/mind-spir...8.facebook |
